Hey, my name is Jake, most outside of my family call me Shap.

I was born in Chicago and raised in Boulder, Colorado.

 

I love my Jeep, baseball, all the other sports, Colorado and music. I enjoy history, old stories and art.

I'm currently covering breaking news for the Denver Post and the Colorado Buffaloes for BuffSampede. I graduated from my dream school, the University of Colorado-Boulder, with a degree in journalism.

My biggest influences are: Dan Le Batard, Dan Patrick, Bill Walton, Paul Klee, Mark Kiszla, Jim Hughson, Kevin Harlan, Pat Foley and my father Jeff.
